We're hiring for the following positions, all requiring experience within the hospitality industry. 

1. HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER  (Permanent position in Cape Town)

At Kloof Street Hotel, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional guest experiences in the heart of Cape Town. We are currently seeking a dynamic Housekeeping Manager, with a passion for maintaining impeccable cleanliness, to oversee our dedicated team. Please note, due to large volumes of applications received, only candidates that meet the minimum requirements will be contacted.

Minimum requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping processes and standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
  • Coordinate all activities, duties, and tasks with other departments to ensure efficient and timely service delivery.
  • Ensure effective communication between Front Office, Housekeeping, and Maintenance teams.
  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints regarding service and equipment promptly.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness standards for rooms and public areas.
  • Supervise daily maintenance issues and communicate issues not resolved by end of day.
  • Manage lost and found procedures, ensuring guest property is securely logged and stored.
  • Ensure timely servicing of all rooms and units.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly stocktakes; manage stock levels and procurement.
  • Maintain accurate departmental records and prepare reports as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with leave planners and policies.
  • Ensure departmental induction manual is up to date and introduced to new staff.

2. GUEST SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist guests with check-ins and check-outs
- Provide information about the facility, services, and local attractions
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Maintain a welcoming and positive atmosphere for guests

Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle guest issues with tact and diplomacy
- Familiarity with hotel operations and local attractions
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
